Food Cultural in Asian Countries

Although I am in America now, I cannot stop loving the Asian food, and the food I ate in Asia, it is different I had in American Asian restaurants. I believe every country has its own food cultural, from the kinds of diversity, the colorful colors, the numerous plates, and the irreplaceable flavors. Food is not only part of the culture, but also a surprise and adventure; it means to get to know the locals, and to be more familiar with other aspects of the culture simply through a dining experience. Therefore, I want to share some of the food cultures in Asian countries, so be ready!

Thai Food

Although the truth that Thai food uses many of the same core ingredients as other South East Asian countries – chili, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, fish sauce, palm sugar and lime juice – it manages to retain a unique flavor all of its own. Thai cuisines usually special for being spicy and sour. Like south Korean, Chinese, Thai people like to share meals with their family and friend. When dinner time starts, one would call people "Kin Kaow" which means "to eat rice" as in let's eat!

The general Thai family table always has those dishes, a Thai soup, called Tom, it is a clear soup made with meat and vegetables, and add some lemon grass; a Pad Thai, which a dish of fried meat with vegetable and oyster sauce; a Kaeng, it means Thai curry.

Japanese Food

In Japan, there are many interesting with good-tasting dishes, including tako-yaki, sushi, sashimi, and tempura. Japanese cuisine has evolved hundreds years social and political changes. So when we say Washoku, it refers to food was around before 1868, the end of Japan's isolationist policies. A few aspects that set Japanese cuisine apart from other cuisines are it's emphasis on using quality ingredients, particularseasonality, and impeccable presentation.

Tempura was originally brought to Japan by the Portuguese in the history, and now, the tempura becomes one of the most popular and best-known foods in Japan.  Tempura includes vegetables or seafood that are covered in a light batter and then fried deeply.

Tako-yaki is grilled or fried octopus, with a ball-shaped dumpling made from diced or baby octopus, batter, tonkatsu (tempura scraps), green onion, and pickled ginger. This dish became popular in Osaka and was first sold in 1935 by Endo Tomekichi. To use the correct way to eat sushi: Only the fish side of the sushi should be dipped lightly into the soy sauce, instead of the rice, and the prickled ginger should not eat with sushi, it could be eaten separately.

South Korean

-Chopsticks in Korea are made with stainless steel and tend to be much heavier than the wood chopsticks.
-It is a common custom people sit cross lag.

-Maybe Korean is the most countries in the world like to use scissors during the meal. They use scissors instead of knives to cut long noodles and BBQ meat.
